Strategy Overview is adding Hudu as a data integration, planned for mid-April 2026. Like IT Glue, the Hudu integration will run alongside any PSA integration or work on its own as your source for technology data.
Hudu data will flow into Strategy Overview's Technology Module as Flexible Items. Each Asset Layout in Hudu will become its own Flexible Item Group, giving your team a single view of technology data regardless of where it comes from.
A note on naming: Hudu's "Asset Layouts" are the equivalent of IT Glue's "Flexible Assets." Both are custom asset types you define in your documentation tool (backup solutions, ISP information, software licenses, etc.). Once imported into Strategy Overview, they all become Flexible Items in the Technology Module.
What will sync
The first release of the Hudu integration will include:
Companies: Maps your Hudu companies to existing companies in Strategy Overview. Hudu will work as a Data Integration, not a PSA, so it will map to companies already in your account rather than creating new ones.
Asset Layouts: Custom asset types you've defined in Hudu. You'll choose which layouts and fields to import. Each layout will become a Flexible Item Group in Strategy Overview.
If you use PSA data in your Asset Layouts
If your Hudu Asset Layouts contain data synced from a third-party PSA (ConnectWise, Autotask, NinjaOne, etc.), that data is stored in Hudu's integration cards and is not included in standard Asset Layout fields by default. To make that data available to Strategy Overview, you'll need to set up Connected Fields in Hudu.
Connected Fields let you map specific data points from your PSA integration into fields on your Asset Layouts. Once connected, those fields sync automatically and become accessible through the Hudu API, which is how Strategy Overview pulls your data.
This is a one-time setup per Asset Layout in your Hudu admin portal. If you're planning to bring PSA-sourced data into Strategy Overview through Hudu, configuring Connected Fields before the integration launches will make your setup smoother.
How Hudu will work alongside your PSA
Hudu will be a Data Integration, the same category as IT Glue. That means it will work alongside any supported PSA (ConnectWise, Autotask, Halo, etc.) or without a PSA at all.
If you have both a PSA and Hudu connected, you may have overlapping data. Pick one source per data type and only import each type from one place to avoid duplicates. Most MSPs bring physical assets from their PSA and use their documentation tool for types like Asset Layouts.
What's not included in the first release
The initial release focuses on Companies and Asset Layouts. The following Hudu data types are not part of this release but some may be added in the future: Domains, SSL Certificates, Networks, Racks, Expirations, Passwords, Processes, KB articles, IPAM, and Photos.
