Effective July 2nd, we've updated how you log in to Strategy Overview to modern standards supported by Entra. The first time you sign in after the update, you'll go through a few one-time steps to get set up.
Your data and setup haven't changed, and you'll keep using the same web address you've always used to reach Strategy Overview.
Pay special attention to the Password Reset step below as it is easy to miss.
What to do the first time you log in
The first time you sign in, you'll complete three quick steps.
Choose your region. On the login screen, choose North America or Europe. We'll remember your choice on that device, so you'll only do this once. If you ever pick the wrong one, use the "Not your region?" link to change it.
Enter your email. You'll be taken to a Microsoft sign-in screen. Enter the email address you use for Strategy Overview.
Set your password. On the password screen, select "Forgot password?" and follow the prompts to create a new password. Once your password is set, you'll be signed in.
Note: Setting a password with "Forgot password?" is required for everyone on first sign-in, whether you're a brand new user or have used Strategy Overview for years.
Does this connect to my Microsoft 365 account?
No. The sign-in screen is hosted by Microsoft Entra, the identity platform Strategy Overview now runs on, which is why the page looks like a Microsoft page. Your login is still a separate Strategy Overview account.
Sign in with the email address you use for Strategy Overview and the password you set in the steps above.
Your Microsoft 365 password will not work on this screen.
Being signed in to Microsoft 365 in the same browser does not sign you in to Strategy Overview.
If you'd like to talk about your team signing in with their work Microsoft 365 accounts, reach out to us in the chat and we'll walk you through the options.
Verification codes (multi-factor authentication)
For added security, multi-factor authentication is on by default. When you sign in, Microsoft emails you a verification code to enter. You can check the box to be asked for a code less often on a device you use regularly.
If you used an authenticator app with Strategy Overview before, you no longer need it. Codes now come by email.
For admins
Multi-factor authentication is on by default for everyone on your team. If you'd prefer to turn it off for your users, you can manage this in your settings.
Skip the region screen next time (optional)
If you sign in at app.strategyoverview.com, you can skip the region screen on future logins by bookmarking your region's direct address:
North America: https://app.us.strategyoverview.com
Bookmark the address exactly as shown, with nothing added after it. That's the full address you'll need going forward.
Note: This applies only if you sign in at app.strategyoverview.com. If you use a branded login address, keep using that.
If you see "We couldn't find an account with this email address"
This message usually means one of two things:
You haven't set your password yet. Complete the three first-login steps above, including "Forgot password?".
You're signing in on the wrong region. Your account exists in one data center only (North America or Europe), and the region isn't necessarily where your company is located; it was assigned when your account was created. Go to https://app.us.strategyoverview.com or https://app.eu.strategyoverview.com and try the other region, then complete the first-login steps there.
Note: If you normally sign in at a branded login address, keep using your branded address. The direct region links above apply only if you sign in at app.strategyoverview.com.
