Dashboard and Widgets

How to use the Dashboard and its widgets to monitor client health scores, plan progress, and key metrics.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Dashboard Part gives you a visual summary of key metrics using configurable Widgets. Dashboards appear in several places: inside Reports (as the Dashboard Part), on individual Company pages, and in the Strategy Module overview.

Where Dashboards live

Dashboards appear in three places in Strategy Overview:

  • Report Dashboard: the Dashboard Part within a Report. Configure it at the Template level or per Report.

  • Company Dashboard: each Company has its own Dashboard page showing Widgets specific to that client.

  • Strategy Module Dashboard: an overview Dashboard showing cross-client metrics.

Adding Widgets

You need Admin permissions to add, change, or delete Widgets.

  • Report Template: Go to Settings > Templates > [Your Template] > Parts > Dashboard > Add.

  • Specific Report: Open the draft Report, go to the Dashboard tab, click the pencil icon near the Part name, then click Add.

  • Company Dashboard: Open the Company page, click the pencil icon near the Overview tab.

  • Strategy Module: Open the Strategy Module, click the pencil icon near the Overview area.

Widget types

  • Last Report Health: shows a Health Score percentage filtered by a tag you select. If no tag is specified, it shows the overall Health Score from the previous Report. Requires a Template selection and a Health tag.

  • Report Progress: a line graph showing Health Score trends over time, filtered by tag. You can configure the date range, select multiple tags, and set color rules.

  • Template Group Radar: shows Health Score distribution by Assessment item Groups from the latest Report. You can select which Groups to include.

  • Template User: shows the Primary User/vCIO assigned to the Company. You can change the Primary User by clicking the photo or from the Schedule Module.

  • Company Info: shows basic Company information from the Company page.

  • Report List: a quick navigation Widget showing the list of Company Reports.

  • Assets Chart: shows a diagram of asset distribution by type and a selected criteria. Requires asset/technology data from your integrations.

  • Assets Count: shows a count of assets by type and status. Useful for quick metrics like "total workstations" or "servers past warranty."

  • Companies Count: shows the number of Companies matching selected filters (Groups, types, Markets). Available on the Strategy Module Dashboard.

  • Items Count: shows the count of Assessment items matching selected filters (Template, Groups, tags). Available on the Strategy Module Dashboard.

  • Site Count: shows the number of active client sites (including the main site).

  • External Content: embeds content from an external source like BrightGauge by URL.

Customizing Widgets

From the "Edit KeyData" form, you can:

  • Set Permissions to control which User Groups can see each Widget

  • Toggle Visibility to show or hide Widgets from Reports

  • Change the Label displayed on the Widget

  • Delete Widgets you no longer need

  • Reorder and resize Widgets using drag and drop
