Dashboard and Widgets

How to use the Dashboard and its Widgets to monitor client health, track plan progress, and view key metrics across your client base.

Updated this week

The Dashboard gives you a visual summary of key metrics using configurable Widgets. Dashboards appear in three places in Strategy Overview, each with a different audience and purpose.

Note: Only Admins and Managers can add, change, or delete Widgets. Widget layout is tenant-wide, so changes apply to all users.

Recommended dashboard layouts

Strategy Home Page

Companies Page

Report Dashboard Part

Client-facing. This Dashboard appears inside Strategy Reports.

Adding Widgets

  • Report Template: Go to Settings > Templates > [Your Template] > Parts > Dashboard > Add

  • Specific Report: Open the draft Report, go to the Dashboard tab, click the pencil icon near the Part name, then click Add

  • Company Dashboard: Open the Company page, click the pencil icon near the Overview tab

  • Strategy Module: Open the Strategy Module, click the pencil icon near the Overview area

Customizing Widgets

All Widget settings are managed from the Edit KeyData form.

From here you can:

  • Set Permissions to control which User Groups can see each Widget (no selection means all users)

  • Toggle Visibility to show or hide Widgets from Reports

  • Change the Label displayed on the Widget

  • Delete Widgets you no longer need

  • Reorder and resize Widgets using drag and drop

Color Rules

Several Widgets support Color Rules, which let you assign colors to specific values so your dashboard draws attention to what matters. The Assets Chart widget shown below, for example, uses color rules to distinguish operating systems at a glance.

To add a Color Rule, open the Widget's Edit form and click Add Color Rule. For each rule, set:

  • Color: the indicator color shown on the Widget

  • Operator: how the value is matched (Contains, =, etc.). The Contains operator is not case-sensitive.

  • Value: the text or value to match

Rules are evaluated in order. Add as many as you need to cover the values you want to highlight.
