For team leads. Creating and changing templates needs the Administrator, Manager or Builder role. Editors can start from a template but can't change the library.
A Goal is what a client is trying to achieve for their business. An Initiative is a project you recommend, with its timing and budget. A client's Initiatives make up their quarter-by-quarter roadmap, and each one can be related to a Goal to show how it moves that Goal forward. An Initiative can also be related to the Assessment findings it addresses and the devices it replaces.
Goal and Initiative templates are starting points, so you don't write the same Goal or project from scratch for every client. They're separate from your Report template. Review any that already exist in your account, adjust them to how you work, and add a few of your own. You can build out more after your first client meetings. Changing a template later doesn't change Goals or Initiatives already made from it.
Adding Goal templates
Go to Settings > Templates > Goals, review any that already exist, and click Add Template to add your own.
Give it a Name, Description, Icon and Color, and pick a Group to keep the list tidy. Add Group creates one.
When you add a Goal for a client, pick a template under Start from a template, or choose Start blank. The template fills in the name, description, icon and color, and you can change any of them.
Adding Initiative templates
Go to Settings > Templates > Initiatives, review any that already exist, and click + Template to add your own.
Give it a name, then fill in the rest the way you'd want it to start for any client, such as the summary, next steps, budget, tags and priority.
When you add an Initiative, pick one under Template. You can also turn an Initiative you've already written into a template with Save as template.
Good to know
Replace with template on an Initiative overwrites the fields the template holds and clears the ones it leaves empty. The name, company, site, status and person stay.
Apply template on a Goal replaces its name, description, icon and color.
Goals have Save as template too, on the Goal's panel.
