Clean Up Unused Flexible Item Groups

If you have too many blank groups in your Flexible Items module, uncheck them in the sync settings. This guide will help you clean up empty groups.

In Strategy Overview application we don't provide the ability to uncheck Flexible Item groups on module level - we aim to minimize junk data in the account.
If you see too many groups that don't contain items, you probably enabled extra or incorrect groups in the Integration Settings. These groups may no longer be in use. Remove them in SO to keep the list clear and focused.

You may have already noticed that when a Group is mapped to an integration, you can't delete it from the module - the delete option is only available for unmapped Flexible Item Groups:


1 Uncheck Groups from PSA Integration Assets or IT Glue Configurations

  1. Settings > Integrations> PSA Integration>Configurations > Configurations selection
    or
    Settings > Integrations> IT Glue Data Integration>Configurations > Configurations selection

  2. Adjust "Types" filter:
    In "Types" filter select only types you want to bring into SO

  3. Click Import Configurations to save Updated filter*
    * Note. After import configurations you can leave the page without waiting for re-import configurations.


2 Uncheck Groups from IT Glue - Flexible Assets

  1. Settings > Integrations> IT Glue Data Integration>Flexible Assets

  2. Adjust "Import" checkboxes:
    Pay attention to assets with zero "Quantity of Item"- these groups are blank for companies that sync.

  3. Click "Import" button to save Updated filter.

3 Remove Unmapped Items and Groups

Go to Settings > Flexible Items settings > Settings and click "Delete all unmapped Items" button.

That button deletes all unmapped items and blank unmapped groups.
