How the Marketplace Works

The Marketplace is a centralized hub where you can browse and import ready-made templates to accelerate your strategic planning process.

What is the Marketplace?

The Marketplace is a collection of professionally-designed templates created by Strategy Overview and other publishers.⁠⁠ You can find both Strategy and Plan templates that cover various industries, business scenarios, and use cases.⁠⁠​

Accessing the Marketplace

  • Location: Navigate to Settings > Marketplace in your Strategy Overview account⁠⁠​

  • Availability: The Marketplace is available for all accounts⁠⁠​, both free and paid

  • Permissions: Admins and Managers can access and import templates from the Marketplace⁠⁠​

Browsing Templates

Template Information

Each template in the Marketplace displays:

  • Template name and type (Strategy or Plan)⁠⁠​

  • Publisher information including company name and logo⁠⁠​

  • Preview image to give you a visual overview⁠⁠​

  • Description explaining the template's purpose and content⁠⁠​

  • Pricing (currently all templates are free)⁠⁠​

Filtering and Search

You can narrow down your search using:

  • Template type filter: Choose between Plan, Strategy, or view All⁠⁠​

  • Creator filter: Find templates by specific publishers⁠⁠​

Search functionality: Search by template name and description⁠⁠​

Importing Templates

How to Import

  1. Browse the Marketplace and find a template you want to use

  2. Click the "Get Template" button (for free templates)⁠⁠​

  3. Confirm your selection in the popup dialog⁠⁠​

  4. The system will create a copy of the template in your account⁠⁠​

What Gets Imported

When you import a template, the system copies:⁠⁠​

  • Text sections like executive summaries and cover pages⁠⁠​

  • Assessment content and structure

  • Plan components and framework

  • Template structure and organization

What Doesn't Get Imported

To protect your account's integrity, certain elements are excluded:

  • Integration-specific data that doesn't match your setup⁠⁠​

  • Custom fields that don't exist in your account

  • Security-sensitive content like external links⁠⁠​

  • Account-specific settings and permissions[](1]

Template Naming

Imported templates are automatically named with "- Marketplace" appended to help you identify them.⁠⁠ If you already have a template with the same name, the system will add "(Copy N)" to avoid conflicts.⁠⁠​

Template Permissions

After importing a template:

  • Template access: All Admins plus the user who imported the template will have access

  • No default template status: Imported templates won't be marked as default templates

Full editing rights: You can modify the imported template just like any other template in your account

The Marketplace will continue to evolve with planned features including:
